Elizabeth Hauptman

Hi! I'm Liz Hauptman, a follower of Jesus whom He called to be a helpful nurturer. I am looking forward to the next chapter of life with Him! I am mom of 2 adult daughters, and I currently live in Northwest Arkansas.
Since I first became a believer over 30 years ago, Global Outreach has been part of my walk with Jesus, supporting those who felt called to go. Now, I believe God is asking me to go to Eastern Germany where there is what feels like a hopeless, forgotten generation.
I have a heart for college students and young adults. What drives me is seeing them learn and believe who they are and what they have to offer this world. They are a unique touchpoint from heaven. No one else can be who they are to those around them. I love calling that out–listening to them, discipling them, and walking life out alongside them. Through relationship and community, I love to nurture their God given identity. I want to model what it means to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and ultimately to do what He did.

About the Country of Ministry
Dresden is the capital city of Saxony, Germany. Since the 1200s, Dresden has been one of the treasures of the Elbe valley region. The city has beautiful architecture, artistic people, distinguished schools, and a unique history of war and communism. During World War 2, Dresden was the location of one the most controversial battles where Allied forces firebombed the city center, decimating nearly 80% of the city.
Following the War, Dresden was ruled by Soviet communism until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. During this time, religion was actively suppressed and Dresden is now part of one of the most atheist areas of the entire world, with less than .02% Bible-believing Christians.
Today the city, with around 600,000 people, is full of life and culture, however, there is a large percentage that do not yet know the love of or have a relationship with Jesus. I look forward to working in a local team to reach young adults and begin the revival I know God has for the region
