Hi, I’m Heinz. Along with my amazing wife Lissette and our three children, we’ve been serving as missionaries in Germany since 2011. Before that, we spent several years in pastoral ministry in Peru, where God began to shape our vision for international church planting.
When we arrived in Germany, we had an 18-month-old baby, very little German vocabulary, and a lot of faith. We started in the Ruhr area, the largest metropolitan region in the country and home to a significant Muslim population. That’s where we began learning the language, understanding the culture, and building relationships.
In 2013, we launched a church planting effort in the city of Gelsenkirchen. By 2015, Gelsenkirche International Church was born (you can visit the church at gelsenkirche.com). Over time, the church grew into a strong, multicultural community. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we transitioned into a new phase of ministry as the church reached maturity.
During those years, God blessed us with two more children, and our family grew alongside the ministry. Since then, we have worked with other local churches, helping them with missionary mobilization and support.
Today, we live in the beautiful Black Forest region in the south of Germany. I serve part-time in pastoral ministry, and together Lissette and I are passionate about making disciples who make disciples. We see the local church not only as a place for growth and fellowship but also as a launching point for mission awareness, training, and new church plants.
Our heart is to be used by God to inspire and encourage churches to embrace their mission calling and to invest in the next generation of disciple-makers.
Adventure, Discipleship, and Real Transformation
Although Germany played a key role in the Protestant Reformation and has deep Christian roots, it is now widely considered a mission field. This shift is due to a variety of cultural, social, and spiritual factors. Here are some of the main reasons:
Widespread Secularization
More than 70% of the population is unaffiliated with any religion. Faith is no longer a part of daily life for most people.
Cultural Christianity Without Personal Faith
Many identify as “Christian” in name only, but lack a personal, transformative relationship with Jesus.Influence of Enlightenment Thinking
Centuries of rationalism and postmodernism have led to deep skepticism. For many, Christianity feels outdated or irrelevant.Church Scandals and Broken Trust
Ongoing scandals, especially within the Catholic Church, have further eroded public trust in organized religion.Lack of Evangelistic Vision
The few healthy churches often lack a passion for outreach or a vision for missions.A Growing Spiritual Void
People are searching for purpose, identity, and meaning—but are looking everywhere except the Gospel.
Because of these realities, many Christians around the world see Germany as a mission field in need of revival. Evangelistic efforts here focus on reintroducing the Gospel with clarity, offering a personal relationship with Jesus, authentic community, and a faith that truly transforms lives.

Pray that God would make disciples here and that He would use us to awaken and mobilize the German church to embrace its missionary calling.
Support our ministry
We currently serve our local church full-time, but we believe God is calling us to broaden our impact. With our church’s full support, we hope to shift our time to 70% local ministry and 30% missionary mobilization, visiting other churches six days a month to raise awareness and equip them for the Great Commission.
This change would also relieve some financial pressure on our church.
We long to see a new reformation in Germany—churches reignited with a passion for God’s Word and global missions.

Prayer Needs
Financial Need
About 70% of our support comes from Peruvian churches, many of which are not wealthy. Supporting a family of five in Germany is a heavy burden for them, especially with the exchange rate (1 Euro = 4 Peruvian soles). Right now, we need an additional 1,600 Euros per month to meet our budget. Please pray about this need.Local and Global Ministry
