Library Digitization project

In order to meet the challenges of teaching in the digital age, we will be digitizing our entire library (ca. 30,000 volumes) and making them available to our students through our partnership with the Digital Theological Library. This will give students all over the world access to high quality, German resources for their training.

Even with a relatively small library collection, the project is gargantuan. We will need to make three major purchases to facilitate the project:

(1) a high capacity document scanner

(2) a powerful workstation for preparing documents (including image correction and highly tailored, accurate text recognition),

(3) an industrial document cutter for removing book bindings (after repenting in dust and ashes). Additional funds can be put towards purchasing additional volumes for digitization.
