Ciprian and Irina Mittelstädt

We are a family of nine, my wife Irina 38, and our seven children Nathan eleven, Noemi ten, Jonas eight, Eric and Noah six, Luca two, and Sarah two months.

I, Ciprian, was born in Romania in a nonchristian family, and by the age of fifteen, I was addicted to porn, got into drinking and at one time I even thought of taking my own life but at the age of sixteen I got to know Jesus as my Lord and savior and he changed my life completely and I'm grateful for everything He's done in my life. My wife Irina was born in Russia in the Ural region and at the age of thirteen she moved with her German father and her brother to Germany. It was a difficult time for her as she had to learn German and later on she had to deal with rape. During her last few years of school, she met some Christian girls and went with them to church where she got to know Jesus as her savior.

We met in Austria at a Christian center where I was a chef and she did Bible school there and wanted to stay and work at the school after the program. Shortly after we got married and after a while we were asked if we would like to go to România to serve the Lord. We both had and have ministry on our hearts so after a short time in prayer we decided to go to România twelve years ago. We served eleven years with Torchbearers România and since October 2022, we started supporting Camp Hope under Pastor Apolodor Pavilcu's leadership.

God has put it on our hearts to support Camp Hope in renovations, camps, and programs. Together with the leadership team, we would like to prepare a place where churches, Christian organizations, and people can come to the programs we organize or their own programs can and have fellowship and get to know Christ better. In the Sommer at the Camp, we had 8 kids and teens camps with about 800 participants total, two adults camps with about 100 participants total, and 3 work camps with about 60 total and it's a blessing to hear that they like to come to our camp. Just recently we heard that one of the participants in a teenagers camp wrote to one of the leaders ' I am glad I was able to come to the camp, I got to know what Jesus did for me and I have decided to follow Jesus and gave my life to him'.

We reach out to people through the short-term projects organized with the team from Camp Hope or personally. Some of them are Operation Christmas Child, food parcels for the elderly and widows, gifts for children in orphanages, or work projects at orphanages not far from us. Dear reader may God bless you and have a wonderful day.

Romania: A beautiful Country with a need for the beauty of Christ!

Romania is a beautiful country with mountains, rivers, plains and port at the Black Sea. The people here are friendly and talkative. But, sadly, in the past 10 years, the number of people who said that they do not believe in God has tripled and only about 6 percent affirm that they have received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and the majority say that they are orthodox (73%) but most of them do not attend church and that's why we would like to reach to the people in our area through the programs and projects we do.

Support our ministry

It is no secret that from the very beginning of the church Christians have taken an active role in being missionaries and sending missionaries. Yet not all are called to be missionaries. (We are all called to make disciples)

Being a missionary is a calling, but have you ever considered that sending missionaries is also a calling? So what is your calling? Are you the missionary or a missionary sender?

All Kontaktmission staff live on support, meaning we believe that God will provide for his mission, through his church. We would ask for support for our student center. We have rent, electricity, and then general supplies in running the space and serving coffee. We are fully supported missionaries and can only live and serve here as long as we have support to sustain us.

Please consider joining our sending team by partnering with us in prayer and partnering with us financially.

Prayer Needs

  1. Please pray for wisdom in deciding which and how much to invest in different projects.
  2. Please pray for health and strength to be able to invest in the camp and projects.
  3. Pray for our continued passion to grow our marriage and children well.
