My name is Mikael Thomsen, and together with my wife Hanna, I serve as the founding pastor of Nordkirken, a Reformed Baptist church in Aalborg, Denmark.

Although I grew up in Zambia as the son and grandson of missionaries and church planters, God placed a burden on my heart to serve as an indigenous missionary in my home country Denmark.

In 2012, Hanna and I opened our home in a small village south of Aalborg, where a handful of people began gathering for Bible teaching, prayer, and worship, which later became Nordkirken.

Today, our church family has grown into a congregation with many young families and children, and we continue to proclaim the gospel through expository preaching, discipleship, evangelism, and pastoral care.
Alongside pastoral ministry, I also work full time while pursuing theological studies, seeking to equip the church with faithful and biblically grounded teaching.

Hanna has faithfully stood beside me throughout the years, and together we have sought to build a home and family life centered on Christ and hospitality.

We have been blessed with two daughters, Amalie and Fillipa, and family life remains an important part of our ministry and witness.

Our desire is not merely to grow one local church, but to see more biblically faithful churches planted throughout Denmark for the glory of God.

What drives us is a deep conviction that people need the true gospel clearly preached with both truth and love in a spiritually confused culture.

We are passionate about helping people know Christ through the faithful teaching of Scripture and seeing lives transformed by the grace of God.
