In place of our exhaustion and spiritual fatigue, God will give us rest. All He asks is that we come to Him…that we spend a while thinking about Him, meditating on Him, talking to Him, listening in silence, occupying ourselves with Him- totally and thoroughly lost in the hiding place of His presence.
-Charles R. Swindoll
Come to Him to find rest. Matthew 11:28-30- “Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest…”
Think about Him. Phil. 4-8- “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely; if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things.”
Col. 3:1-2- “So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.”
Meditate on Him. Ps. 1:1-2- “How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked or take the path of sinners or join a group of mockers! Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.”
Talk to Him. Ps. 32:3-5- “When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy on me; my strength was drained as in the summer’s heat. Selah Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not conceal my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,’ and You took away the guilt of my sin. Selah (cf. Ps. 34:17, 55:17, 65:2, 145:19; Prov. 15:29; Lk. 6:47; 1Jn. 5:14).
Listen in Silence. Ps. 46:10- “Be still and know that I am God.” Ps. 40:1- “I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help.”
Occupy Yourself with Him. Lam. 3:24-26- “I say: The Lord is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him. It is good to wait quietly for deliverance from the Lord.”
Lose Yourself in the Hiding Place of His Presence. Ps. 32:7- “You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Selah
Pray through these passages of Scripture this week. Let them sink in to your heart and mind. Allow the majesty of the Lord to fill you with His presence.

Today we have a prayer request from Kenny and Heather Haggard, missionaries working in Korca, Albania. “Please pray for the congregation in Mborje. We are training a team to travel around the area doing evangelism and missions outreach. Please pray that many people will be reached with the gospel and follow Jesus.”
